The IPMEN 2023 conference will end on Thursday, July 20th with delegates travelling home or on to the NMEA 2023 conference in Bellingham WA on Friday July 21st. With the generous support of the National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) we can have been able to offer IPMEN 2023 delegates registered for NMEA 2023 and planning to travel from Victoria BC to Bellingham WA the following travel package.
Magical Marine Mystery Tour – Victoria BC to Bellingham WA – Friday, July 21st
- 7.00 am breakfast at The Cove (opens ay 7 am) then check out of UVic dorms.
- 8.15 am load bus for 8.30 am departure from UVic dorms to UVic Marine Technology Centre, Sidney (28 km – allow 45 minutes).
- 9.15 am to 10.30 am UVic Marine Technology Centre tour.
- 10.30 am bus from UVic Marine Technology Centre to Shaw Centre for Salish Sea (6 km – allow 15 minutes).
- 10.45 am to 11.45 am Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea Our delegates would cover their own entrance fee but Tina has offered us a discount.
- 11.45 am bus from Shaw Centre to Swartz Bay ferry terminal (7 km – allow 15 minutes to arrive at ferry terminal with plenty of time).
- 12 noon to 12.15 pm Swartz Bay ferry terminal to check-in.
- 1.00 pm BC Ferries from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen BC – lunch onboard (not included) (1 hour 35 minutes).
- 2.45 pm charter bus from Tsawwassen BC to Bellingham WA (75 km – allow 1 hour 30 minutes). Drop-off at Four Points by Sheraton Bellingham Hotel.
